We began working with artist Les Toil on this puzzle image in October, inspired by last year’s No Kings protests and the patriotism, humor, and fierce love of democracy we saw across the country. As federal enforcement actions escalate and communities on the front lines continue to face fear, anger, and uncertainty, we’ve spent time considering when and how to release this piece.

This puzzle isn’t about any single event. It reflects the resilience and courage of people standing up for their neighbors and holding power accountable, while leaning into humor and creativity as a form of resistance. We recognize that laughter alone isn’t enough, and we stand with those fighting for change.
